Redang Life

First of all, I would like to thank my dear, Li Fah for uploading the photos that we've taken when we're at Long Beach. Thank you, dear. So we started out journey to Long Beach at around 7 pm because we jungle-trek there. Cool, huh? Well, it wasn't my idea because at first we planned to go with my gang (yen wei, yew, henry, eunice and michelle) but yen wei said she wanted to go a day earlier with her sis and aunt so they divided into two groups. I eventually joined both groups! *wide grin*

Anyway, there were 7 of us including myself and so here we go! Jungle trekking began......

It was all 7 of us walking together and then in the end, it would end up only the four of us, Li Fah, Peng, Phil and me. The other 3, Chin, Poh, and Kelvin were walking very fast. Excuse me, it's my first time and it's so damn dark. How did you expect me to walk fast? :(

After all the sweats and walking up and down the hills, finally we reached Long Beach at around 8 something. Whoo! What a night. Haha...

So we had our dinner, but we ordered drinks first because we were damn thirsty! After that, Li Fah said she wanted to go to 'More More Tea Inn' and bought some souvenirs. So we went with Peng and Phil. Eventually, we had already gone our own way. Chin, Poh and Kelvin went to somewhere else. We were playing around, looking for some funny pants for Peng. It was really fun. After that I said to Li Fah "Hey, Li Fah. Let's take pictures!" And so we did.....

Me and Li Fah (gonna miss you so much)

Crazy Peng, the Dive Instructor.

Me and Phil

Phil and Peng with their crazy post.

Phil and Peng as Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones..

Phil made my name with the torch.

This was what they planned to write. *GRHHH*

Then Phil reminded me that I wanted to do a tattoo! AND YES!! I DID IT!! YUHOO!!! So we went to his friend's stall and did one.

Guess which one is mine... hehe...

After all the photo sessions, we went and meet up with the other 3 guys. We talked and walked for a while and it's already 11 pm. So we jungle - trekked back. By the time we reached the Private Beach, it's already 11 pm plus. Phil wanted to swim at the sea as he was feeling hot. So were we. But we didn't go into the sea. I would just cool my legs at the sea.

Our last photo of the day...

Well, we finished at around 12 am plus. Then we walked back and had a drink at the only restaurant that's opened, Asmadi. That's where we usually had our dinner because that's the only restaurant that's opened during puasa month. We had to walk all the way from our quarters to Asmadi which took us about 15 minutes walk.

We reached quarters at about 1 am plus, had our shower and I started to pack some of my stuff. I couldn't believe that I didn't have much time to have fun. Which was why Yen Wei and I went for snorkelling and we swam as often as possible - which made us tan a little. :/

I can't upload the photos that I have with my gang because those photos are not with me. I shall upload them as soon as possible. *wink*

Thanks to Li Fah for all the fun we have together,
Thanks to Peng for all the lame jokes and laughter you have given,
Thanks to Poh for my first snorkelling trip,
Thanks to Chin for the ride to Asmadi,
And thanks to Phil for being a tour guide.

Miss you guys....

Chef Of The Day

Okay... I guess I should keep my promise right? So my promise to my family was to cook dinner for them - and I did! Just some dish that I've learned in Redang. Don't expect them to be presentable and as perfect as my chef did. At least, it's edible.. *wink*

Baked lamb, sauteed vege and mashed potatoes

This was the first meal that I cooked for my family. Lui and dad quite liked the mashed potatoes. "Not oily" dad said. It's actually made due to Lui's request. She likes it though.

Jie, I'm sure you know who she's trying to imitate..HAHA

We (mum, Lui, How and me) had a great laugh after dinner. I'm glad we enjoyed the dinner although it's simple..

And.........

There's something that I've been longing to do and at last I've done it!

My lovely tattoo.... See that? :)

Thanks to Phil for bringing me to do it. *wink*

I miss everything about you...

Things I Wanted To Say...

You made me wanted to cry as well when I found out that you cried the time I left. I'm so gonna miss you, the times we had, the jungle trekking we had, the last dinner we had at Long Beach (crazy night though), and the tattoo we did together (wish I could show them the picture now :/) - I'm gonna miss that... See you and take care alright?

Both of you are two of the craziest person I've met in Redang. I enjoyed your companies although we only knew one another in August. Thank you for everything and I enjoyed the night before I left - jungle trekking. *wink*

I never thought we would become friends. Thanks for the nights we spent together and I appreciated it. Thanks for being the tour guide during our jungle trekking. (hehe) I agreed that you said we only knew each other for a short period. I enjoyed watching movies with you, although it's only 2 movies. We could still keep in touch though. Miss you too. Will try my best to go back Redang. ;)

That's the first night that we actually sat down and chatted for so long after 10 weeks. :) Well, all I have to say is you're such a good person. It's comfortable enough to talk to you. You're really caring and I've never regretted in meeting you. Thanks for inviting me back to Redang, but I'll have to see my schedule. :)

P/S: Will update on the photos in Redang soon....

You know who you are...

After 10 weeks,
she finally made it to the end.
And now...

SHE'S BACK!!!

She cried desperately to come back,
But now...
She's gonna miss there...
All the memories that she had,
it's all gonna be kept inside her heart.
Love them and miss them so much...

Time passes so fast..
Everything that has happened,
happened in just a blink,
I'm gonna miss it.

One Very Unlucky Phone Conversation

These few days I was asked to work 12-8pm shift due to the muslims for buka puasa-ing. So apparently, the whole FO department there's only 4 persons who aren't puasa-ing. So two persons handle baggy and two persons handle front desk. It's already 8pm so I said to my manager "Ms. Christine, I go back first ah," then she said "Okok, but help me handle this guest first," So I said fine. When I was handling them, the phone rang. And the conversation went....

Me:Salam sejahtera, reception.
'Sam pat' guest: Halo! ok! Dengar sini a! Lu tau ini bilik nombo apa a?!
(Looking at the phone)
Me:288? (two eight eight?)
'Sam pat' guest: 288?! (DUA LAPAN LAPAN?!)
(Look again)
Me: O. Sorry sir. 208 (two 'o' eight)
'Sam pat' guest: Ha! Kamu tau bilik ini apa masalah a?

(So blur but still have to handle first)
Me: Sorry sir, I'll ask the housekeeper to clean it for you. (Cannot change language already -_-")
'Sam pat' guest: Kamu jangan cakap cakap itu english sama saya. Saya punya english tak belapa bagus punya a!
Me: O. Okay. Jadi bilik encik sudah satu hari tak cuci yaka?
'Sam pat' guest: Yala! Saya kelua tadi jam 3 sampai sekarang pun blm ada olang datang cuci lagi. Ha! Pigi mana sudah itu olang?
Me: Adakah encik letak itu DND sign?

Me: Okay. Minta maaf encik. Saya akan call housekeeping suruh mereka bersihkan bilik encik sekarang. Saya akan call encik balik lepas seminit.
'Sam pat' guest: Mau saya tunggu seminit lagi a?! Saya suda tunggu lama lo. Saya mau mandi pun tak boleh lo c-kalang. Itu itu tuala pun tak ada olang tukar kasi saya. Ha! Saya mau guna apa lap o? Ei, saya dengan anak-anak saya pun belum mandi lagi o. Semalam saya call itu olang suru bawa tuala, itu bantal sama itu itu (asking the wife) 那个叫什么啊?(What is that called?) Ah! Itu BLANKET! -_-"
Me: Okay. Saya akan call-
'Sam pat guest: Lagi lagi! Jangan letak itu telepon dulu. Saya belum habis cakap lagi. Sama itu a, itu klau kita sudah itu checkin a, kalau kita sudah masuk itu bilik bukan ada buah makan punya ka. Ha! Kenapa c-kalang tak ada sudah? Mana sudah pigi itu buah? Itu olang cuci bilik suda culi makan a?! (wth?)
Me:..........
'Sam pat' guest: Nanti a, saya ada dua malam lagi di sini. Saya balik pigi itu KL saya misti akan complain sama itu HQ punya manager. Haiya, saya bagitau la. Kalau itu tak cukup olang cuci bilik a, suru kamu punya itu tauke VINCENT TAN panggil banyak plang lagi la. (ARGH....)
Me: Okay encik. Saya akan panggil orang cuci bilik encik sekarang-
'Sam pat' guest: Sama satu lagi. Jangan letak telepon dulu (-_-") Itu kamu punya servit itu macam punya a? Kamu tidak malu punya ka?! Sama itu pillow a. Aiyo! hitam butul o. Mau saya bawa pigi itu lobby kasih kamu tengok a? (Ms. Christine: 拿来啦! Bring here la) Okay. C-kalang a, saya mau pigi makan dulu. Lepas setengah jam kamu datang cuci. Saya masi boleh guna itu tuala lama punya, tak apa. Nanti lepas setengah jam kamu datang cuci bilik saya a! Sapa kamu punya itu manager?
Me: Siapa kami punya manager? (Looking at Ms. Christine. She looked so pek chek.) Ms. Christine.
'Sam pat' guest: Ms. Christine? Itu cina a?
Me:Ya ya. Yang itu cina.
'Sam pat' guest: Klau saya ada masalah, saya bole cali dia la.
Me: Ya. Jadi nanti lepas setengah jam saya suruh housekeeping pergi bersih bilik encik ya?
'Sam pat' guest: Lepas setengah jam a. Bawa sekali itu tuala, blanket, sama itu pillow. Mau besi punya ah.
Me: Okay encik. Lepas setengah jam.
'Sam pat' guest: Okay. Thank you. (And he hung up the phone.)

And that's how it went for almost 2o minutes because he was saying the same thing over and over again. And he was so rude that he had to cut my sentences MOST OF THE TIME! My manager also got pissed off because it was his fault because instead of putting the sign "PLEASE MAKE UP MY ROOM", he put "DND" sign! Even after one hour he left, the "DND" sign was still on. It's so obvious that it's his fault! Even after the conversation, Ms. Christine still went and talked to him personally for about an hour. My goodness!! He just wouldn't want to shut up. After that, my rooms division manager, Mr. Rizal called me in and asked to repeat the whole conversation. He was laughing at how fussy was the guest and I told him that honestly, I was glad that it happened to me because it's an experience for me. Mr Rizal said it's because I would have something to write on my report. -_-" Nah....

I couldn't believe that it's the resort's fault. So I went and looked for Yen Wei to ask whether she knew about this. "Even until four pm the DND sign was still on! We met the wife and she asked us to quickly clean her room because her husband was vbery furious." We knew that it's his fault but what to do? He's the guest and we're the service provider. "Customers are always right" They are misusing their rights! Apple 姐 said that he's 'CINA BUKIT' because he complained to her as well on the day he checked in. Saying that he wanted to have his room upgraded and bla bla bla. He thought he was the only BVC member of the resort. It's his problem and yet he wanted to make it such a big fuss. Like Mr. Rizal said "You're finishing your training soon and now only you are facing this kind of problem." Yea.. I agree.

Off Day

Today is my off day and I'm here in the room helping Li Fah with the task given by Mr. Michael regarding the Ghost Festival. FYI, Li Fah is a student of UM and I met her on my first day of training. Pei San her ex-roomate had finishder her training and so Rosalind moved to stay with her. She had also finished her training and so I stay with her. To sum up everything, she has changed her roomate 3 times..poor thing. She'll only finish her training on the 23rd Oct. So long and even after we've finished ours, she'll still have to struggle and survive for another 45 days before leaving this island.

Had an hour of conversation with an old friend of mine just now, saying how happy she is with her life-partner-to-be. So happy for her that she's giving it a try. ;)

Everyone is sleeping and I have no idea what to do now...Shall I continue my story? I don't have any inspiration right now to continue. ;)

Ciao for now...

Where is your heart?
when I'm not around...
